Gonna add myself as a follower but before then I do have a neat trick for positioning solid dies over a stamped image, either before or after you colour the image in is fine.

Take a piece of plain card, pop the die onto it and die cut cut out the shape. Then, using the leftover piece as a template, place it over your image so that everything lines up fine and hold it in place with removable tape at the edges. Hope you're with me so far.

Then, take the actual die you just used and pop it back into the aperture so it covers the image you stamped or coloured. You'll almost feel it drop into the aperture - give it a little wiggle to make sure its set right into the right place. I then use a little bit of tape again to secure everything. Run it through your die cutting machine - that would be the image topped with the template you made and then the die itself popped into the template.

Should cut perfectly round your image - with luck, some sunshine and a following breeze :) If you do this with your shoes on the wrong feet it also helps, grin :)

Hugs

Di xxDihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06153667791623954306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-848416569267174353.post-82026665830660916542014-08-05T08:50:21.537-05:002014-08-05T08:50:21.537-05:00Lovely cards Susan. I think Darnell's suggestion of cutting first is good, must try it myself.Mrs Harryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02038441647911029089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-848416569267174353.post-72863964289642680552014-08-03T04:31:57.377-05:002014-08-03T04:31:57.377-05:00I'm sorry this comment is so late, but I was o...I'm sorry this comment is so late, but I was on holiday in Spain last week and wifi was a little limited and slow!
Thanks for the birthday greeting Susan, I had a lovely time on my vacation.
Your cards are all fabulous, I agree about the fiddly bits but the effort was worth it in the end!
Thanks so much
Chrissie
"Less is More"Chrissiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04155624052405745793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-848416569267174353.post-47053194141467403022014-07-31T11:35:59.238-05:002014-07-31T11:35:59.238-05:00A trio of CAS perfection. I don't have this set, but I would die cut it first and then use very thin strips of Washi tape to hold it down to my craft mat. Then, using the stampamajig, I would stamp it. If necessary, you could ink where the tape had held it down. That's the only way I can think that wouldn't make it or my brain wonky!!
