She's a "Mama's Girl"

I've finally scrapped a layout.  It's been a while and I thought I had lost my mojo...still not sure I've found it! LOL! I took these precious photos of my daughter, Kimberly, holding her daughter, Maggie, just a few months ago. At the time, Maggie was just 9 or 10 months old and wasn't walking. Last weekend, we went up for her first birthday! I can't believe how fast time flies...now she's walking all over the house!

I used My Mind's Eye papers for this layout.  This particular collection has a lot of glitter on it.  I used a kraft background for this layout. I cut the edges of the pink paper with a pair of wavy deco scissors and inked them heavily. The blooms are Prima and I colored the edges with a Copic marker then added a little glitter to the edges. The small flowers were punched with a tiny flower punch so that the brown glittery circle would be the center of the flower. I curled the edges of the little flowers and then added a dot of pink 3D paint for the center. Bling is also from Prima. I used one big swirl and cut it into sections that would fit where I wanted it. Title letters are Thickers. I added a ribbon border with bows at each end. The scalloped edge was punched with a MS scalloped scallop punch. The Love quote is a stamp that I stamped on the dark pink paper and then backed it with a little brown and punched the corners with a SU ticket corner punch. The Love You tag was made by stamping the sentiment (Hero Arts) and then punching it with a scalloped circle punch and then punching the pink backing with a little larger punch. I also stamped a "word" stamp in the upper left corner of the layout. I also added a little doodling to the light pink mat. Journaling is tucked behind the left photo with the ribbon bow and reads:

Maggie, you are definitely a Mama’s girl. If she’s in the room, you always make a beeline to her. I don’t get to see you often, but it didn’t take me long to figure out that you would only come to me if your Mama wasn’t in the room. I have to be really quick if I want to steal any kisses!
