I finally came up with two cards that I need for a couple of wedding I have coming up...but really? Red, white and blue for a wedding card? Oh well, since I've made them, I'll probably go ahead and give them...maybe I won't sign it so they won't know who made it!
This first card has two layers on the card base, a blue layer and a white layer. I punched the edges of both layers with the Martha Steward lacy border punch. The two red buttons, I've had in my stash forever, and I was too lazy to get out the embroidery floss to stitch them, so I just cut a thin strip of white paper and used that to "sew" them on! The sentiment is stamped in Memento blue and is a Flourishes stamp. I tied a ribbon around the two layers and added a bow. Super simple....but I'm still not sure it's very wedding-ish!
This second card I made just because I already had the two hearts stamped and mounted on red card stock. Super simple...and Oops...just noticed that I didn't finish doodling my faux stitching all the way across the thin strip....drat! Anyway, there are two strips of blue card stock and one piece of 3/8 inch ribbon across the card. Same sentiment as before. One heart is adhered to the card and the other is pop-dotted.
Sorry for having such disappointing cards this week. I must have misplaced my mojo....
Sharing a layout I finished recently...
Here's a layout I did recently of one of my grandsons. I did manage to use a few Flourishes stamps on this (for the leaves). I stamped the leaves on patterned paper and cut them out, then pop dotted them on some punched circles. Added a bit of faux stitching. Title work was cut with Quikutz dies. Papers are from Close to My Heart. I added two borders across the bottom of the photo and a touch of 3-D pearl drops. I tied some jute string through a button around the frame. The stamped quote is "We do not remember days, we remember moments".
Thanks so much for stopping by! Your comments are welcomed and greatly appreciated! Until next time...
♥ Hugs! ♥

Oh... simply stunning... so elegant...
I think red, white, and blue make beautiful wedding cards. Different, very elegant, and beautiful. I like both, but I especially like the first one with that little frilly border and the cute buttons. :-)

Two great LIM cards Susan. I love the idea of the thin strips of paper you used to 'sew' the buttons on, it looks really effective!
I'm so glad you didn't give it a miss this week!
These are super cards.
Thanks so much

Susan - I think your mojo is just fine!! I like both cards - they are clean, simple and elegant. I really like the first one with the heart buttons!! And the layout of your grandson is fabulous - I really must start to do more scrapping!!
You almost did'nt play! Susan - how could you think such a thing! Lol :o) Both cards are lovely, I particularly like the heart button one and it's definitely suitable for a wedding. Super scrapbooking too - love the autumnal colours. xx
I think both of these are beautiful wedding cards with the splashes of red and little touches of blue.
Another gorgeous scrapbooking page. x
I don't think they are disappointing at all! I like the first one, but I LOVE the second, those damask hearts are totally scrummy and I think the red, white and blue is a classy combo so it works fine for a wedding.

Both of your cards are gorgeous Susan. I wish I could make them this good when my mojo was missing ( or even when it isn`t)

Susan these are lovely cards, in fact I LOVE the red hearts with the blue and white.
As I am short of time, I would also like to comment on your tangles, as you know I am a great fan of what you do, and these recent ones are gorgeous, I love the heart one, and the "helmet" one.

You may say that your "mojo" is missing but you've still produced some fabulous cards.
Well your mojo came back because these red, white and blue cards are fabulous! And I love non-traditional colors on cards for specific occasions. Both are crisp, clean and fabulous. I have to say I had a very hard time coming up with something too on this one. Glad you played!
Susan these are lovely cards, beautiful! Your mojo seems fine to me!
Two fab cards again Susan and lovely layout on the grandson one too. Missing mojo???? what are you thinking you have made two super cards here tut tut!!! :O) Viv xx

Two fabulous cards! Both perfect for the LIM challenge...No sign of any Mojo missing there, Susan!
I'm right there with you Susan. Can't for the life of me use these colors in a card. However you really rocked it. I love both your cards.
Well done.
I think your wedding cards are beautiful and I love that they would stand out from the other wedding cards.
Particularly love the one with the buttons.

Hi, Susan!! Your wedding cards are simply lovely!! The first one is wedding-ish to me...LOVE the 2 heart buttons and the scalloped edging...simply sweet!! Love the design of the second's hearts and your use of ribbon! Your grandson is ADORABLE(he's young enough to still be able to say that!)...as well as being a handsome young man:)!!
Not disapppointing at all - I think they're both just so elegant and classic.
