A Little Tangling

It's been weeks since I had time to play in a couple of my Zentangle challenges.  This first tile is for the challenge hosted each week by Laura at I am the Diva. This week's challenge is to create a pinwheel for peace.  The challenge was issued based on a challenge we had about a year ago to tangle a pinwheel for peace.  Pinwheels for Peace originally started as an art installation organized by two high school teachers in Florida.  They used the project as a way to teach kids how to express their feelings about the world and what's going on in it.  Since then, it's grown from 500,000 pinwheels the first year to 3.5 million last year!!

So here's my contribution to Pinwheels for Peace.  Tile size is approximately 5 x 5.

This next tile is my submission for Erin's Zendala Dare 23.   Each week Erin gives us a template to complete with tangles...so here's my take on this weeks template.

Thanks so much for popping in...hope to see you again soon!  Your comments are always appreciated! Until next time...

Hugs!

Both are great. I like the shading in your pinwheel. The tangles you used are well chosen. I myself was thinking what to use, and thought that a square grid wasn't the right tangle. But when I look at your design I must admit the squares are nice and looking great. Perhaps because you draw a white border I don't know. I like it very much.

LOVE the shading that you do. The pinwheel tangle looks especially great with your white borders to set off the details.

You've done a fantastic Zentangle pinwheel for this awesome peace campaign, Susan!

(I enjoyed your comment on my blog today. You'll never forgive me for that awesome Prisma deal, will ya?! LOL! For that card I used my Marvy markers, but I am enjoying my cheapo pencils!)
