The challenge at CASology this week was to use the word Up.
I made my card(s) for the challenge on Thursday, but didn't manage to get them posted before the cut-off time today....but I thought I'd post them anyway.
This card is a one layer card...and super simple. I cut some random scallops out of eclipse paper and put them on the card base which was cut out using the Cameo. I inked lightly around the clouds with some distress ink, then stamped the "sun" from Avery Elle behind one of the clouds before removing the cloud masks. The sentiment is from SU and was stamped in a dark navy Memento ink....see easy-peasy!
I used the Cameo to make this card too. I made an arrow in the Silhouette program and made it large enough that the letters for "chin up" would fit inside. I cut the arrow and letters from a red/white polka dotted paper. I backed it with white so that I could put the middle of the "p" back in place, then pop-dotted the arrow on a white card base. The rest of the sentiment was computer generated (and was printed on before I added the arrow with pop dots). "This too shall pass" is a phrase I use often...so I thought it was fitting for the "chin up" sentiment.
I also added a small strip of the red and white polka dot paper across the bottom, rounded the corners and added a bit of faux stitching with a red pen.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Your comments and your visits are always appreciated!! Until next time...
