OLW91 - Thank You

This week's One Layer Wednesday Challenge is hosted by Jennifer at Styles Ink.  Jennifer has challenged us to make a one layer thank you card for a teacher.  HELLO!  I have absolutely no use for a teacher thank you card (since my children are all in their 30s)....but just a regular 'ol thank you card I can always use!  So, with the challenge in mind, I've made a couple of cards...that...well, whadda ya know!  I believe they would be suitable for a teacher, or anyone else!

Apples...teachers like apples, right?  For this card I used an image from the Flourishes Apple of my Eye set.  I stamped the first apple, then masked it off and stamped the other two apples behind it.  I colored the apples with Prisma pencils and then added a touch of shading to ground the images.  The sentiment is from PTI.

This card is actually the first card I made and being less than thrilled with the outcome, I decided to make the apple card.  For this card, I used PTI stamps.  Stamped in Memento black, then colored the pencil with a mix of Copics and Prismas.  Very....simple? plain?

That's all for me right now.  Head on over to Styles Ink and play along in the challenge this week...even if you don't have school age children, I bet you could always use a thank you card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I appreciate you taking the time to pop in and I especially appreciate you leaving a comment!! Until next time...

Hugs!

Both of those are fantastic! Good job working with the theme, despite no current teachers to thank. :)

Truly thinking outside the box Susan - two ideal cards for teachers but equally for anyone else. Brilliant!

Your apples are amazing! Wish I could color like that! I like the pencil card too. Reminds me of what Luke does with a pencil.
