Challenge 92 and a little sharing..

I had a little time to play along with the Diva Challenge this week, and I thought I'd also use this opportunity to post a few more of my tangles that I've been working on recently.  I've been playing with Zentangles for over a year now and have stacks of tiles and two sketchbooks full of ZIAs, and I have no earthly idea what to do with all of them.....any suggestions?

So the challenge this week from Laura at I am the Diva is to create a tile or Zentangle inspired art using Stripes as the string.  This challenge is right up my alley...I'm a bit OCD and nice, neat, orderly things please me! LOL!

Here's my take on this week's challenge:

I generally work in a sketch book and my finished drawing is generally about 5 x 5, as is the "lines" pictured above.  All super easy tangles, but I love the nice, neat look to this ZIA.

Last weeks challenge at I am the Diva was to create a tile using beads.  I actually finished two ZIAs, unfortunately, I didn't get them posted in time!

Oops...doesn't look like I finished the shading on these beads!

This next ZIA is just something I was messing around with the other evening.  No string involved, just mindless doodling.  Maybe I'll add a little color to this one....hmmmm....

I love circles, so this was another evening of just mindless tangling....my hubby thinks this one looks sinister...LOL!

LOVED how this one turned out.  I was playing around with my compass and ruler and decided to make a little mandala ZIA.  I wasn't sure where I was going with this because I'd divided the circle up into too many sections, but when I finished it, I was pleased.

Hope you've enjoyed looking at my Zentangle Inspired Art....Have you given tangling a try yet?  You should...it's very relaxing, and often the results are a big surprise!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Your comments and visits are always appreciated!  Until next time...

Hugs!

Love your style of tangling! I seem to always have 2 or 3 ZIAs going at the same time...I get stuck with one, so start another!

Very nice. I love your straight lined tile. I'm glad you found this challenge in your creative wheelhouse so to speak. :-) I also love your bead strings. The second one has such a fun variety. Isn't it crazy when you shade tiny areas like that? It's so easy to miss sections. Great job!

I've always thought that your tangles would be beautiful framed with simple black frames and lots of white around them. I'll bet they'd go fast at a craft sale!

Wow! Lots of really terrific work. Each and every one is beautiful (even the "sinister" one, which I think is fabulous)!

Absolutely brilliant Susan. Love the first one but those beeds are fab - it makes an amazing difference with the shadowing.... Agree with hubby about the sinister one - looks like a coiled snake!

Hugs.

You did a great job with all of them. But I like the ones without a string best.

Brilliant work Susan!! Your beads are beautiful and your stripes are ever so perfect! I have several 7X5 books and usually have a couples of tangles going at the same time. Sometimes I finish them immediately and other times I just start them (when I come up with a thought and don't want to lose them) Most of mine are in books too, I've given quite a few as cards and at work I've asked my colleagues to choose one they like and we hang them on the wall in the office. :)

Wow! You have been busy. All of your posts are gorgeous. Love the precision of the stripes, and that zendala you made is really impressive!

As always, Susan, I'm Zenmazed by your tangling talent!! I still think you should publish them in a coffee table book using Snapfish or one of the photobook sites.

Really beautiful tangles, Susan. You are so prolific! I have double matted my tiles and framed them under glass in 8 x 10 inch frames. I put a 1/2" black mat next to the tile, then fill the rest of the frame area with a white mat. If the tile is black I reverse the mat colors. If you go to my blog and see the frame options tab at the top, you can see some I have done.

I love the stripes, especially the Prestwood and the ribbon-y one on the right.
Both of your strings of beads are wonderful, as are the rest of your ZIA.
You have been busy drawing!!!
