The challenge this week at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge is to create a card with a frame on it.
I've had this idea floating around in my head for the past few days, and this challenge gave me the perfect opportunity to give it a try.
I cut an oval with the largest of the small Spellbinder ovals for my card front. I inked up a sky on another piece of card stock and also masked off a moon before inking up my sky. The trees were cut with an Impression Obsession die that I've had for almost a year and have never used! Shame on me! I cut a couple of curved pieces for hills and adhered them over the sky background, then put the trees in the snowy hills. The deer is a SSS image that I cut from black card stock, then just cut off one of the deer to use on this card. I positioned him behind one of the trees. I added a few stars/snow? to the sky with a silvery gel pen. The sentiment is from PTI and is stamped in Versafine black ink. I lightly colored the sides of each of the trees with a C-1 Copic marker and added some stardust stickles on the edges of the snow and around the oval frame. The oval frame is popped up over the scene and then adhered to a white card base. It sounds like it took a while to make this card, but once I got started, it was super quick to make!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by for a visit! Hope you'll come back soon! Your comments are greatly appreciated! Until next time...

Such a pretty wintery card! Thanks for sharing on how you made it. The details like hiding the deer behind one of the trees and adding sparkle to the snowbanks and oval, take your card to the next level. I would frame this and hang it on my walls at Christmas time.
