More Cards and some Scrapbooking...

Starting with the cards....

To see the cards larger, just click on the card.  The first card is super simple.  I used a 3-D Tim Holtz embossing folder, backed it with black, added a ribbon and a sentiment.  The second card is also a 3D embossed background. I cut the leaves from vellum. Cut the hugs from red and back it in black.  Stamped a sentiment on white and put it on a red card base.

I still love these red blooms! Die is from Penny Black I think.  I cut the background with a TH die and the peek a boo window is a Die-namics die. The next card...decorative panel cut with a Spellbinders die.  I used dies for the branch, leaves and the bird.  Sentiment is from PTI (I think).

The flowers on this card were hand painted with water colors.  Still working on my watercolor skills! LOL!  The next card is a SSS die that I layered 3 times and then did a little ink blending on the card base before attaching the die cut.

This last card was made using the center of the previous die cut.  I also layered it 3 times.  I inked the background with distress inks by masking off areas with post-it tape.

This layout is a photo of my Mama taken in 1927. I used Carta Bella papers. The flowers are SSS dotted blooms stamp.

Photo of my SIL and grandson fishing.  Super simple layout.  I let the paper do the work.

Photo of my Mama taken in 1939.  She was 14 years old.  I used a bunch of OLD stuff from my stash to create this layout.

Thanks for hanging in there!  I know it's a lot, but since I can't really go anywhere right now...I get to spend LOTS of time in my craft room!  Hope all of you are staying in and staying safe from this nasty virus!

Thanks for stopping by...and Thank You to all of you for the sweet comments you always leave for me.  I appreciate you more than you know!

Hugs!

Back with MORE Birthday cards!!

Still working on birthday cards for my DIL.  She's still working at the moment, so maybe these cards will brighten someone's day!  There's quite a few here, so be prepared for photo overload. LOL!

The first card is difficult to see as it is made entirely with mirror card stock.  I embossed the background, then layered the oval fancy frame (Spellbinders) with the 25 and a banner with "years".  the 25 is made by stacking layers and topping them with glitter numbers.  The next card I stamped the background layer, then cut out the center with a die.  The die cuts a tiny border and also the rectangle from the middle.  I then cut the tiny border from red card stock and replaced it around the center after coloring it with copics.

These next two are quick cards.  The turtle stamp is VERY old...not even sure who makes it.  I just cut out the "peek a boo" window and put the image behind it.  I then added a thin white frame on top of the green card stock.  The next card if the Gerber daisy, stamped on white, with a tiny black stitched frame on a red card panel. Colored with Copics.

These next two are a slider card (and the photo below is the tag when pulled out.  I used a die from Sunny Studios.  Balloons were stamped and hand cut and the sentiments are from a really old stamp set.

The yellow flowers are from a Penny Black stamp.  I stamped the image colored it and then cut the side of the card stock in order to have the flower hanging off.  I printed a piece of yellow striped paper to match the flowers and then added it to the card base with the flower panel popped up with foam.

This flower card was made using an old SU stamp. Stamped on a white background and colored with Copics.  I cut out the center with a double stitched edge die and then popped the center rectangle up with craft foam.  The last card was die cut with a Spellbinder die.  I popped all the pieces out and then colored them individually with Copics...THEN put the puzzle back together! LOL!  VERY fiddly!  I stamped an old PTI sentiment on a piece of vellum and heat embossed it in red and wrapped it around the panel before attaching it to a card base.

I've had a lot of fun making all these birthday cards for my DIL....hopefully this will be enough to get her through the year.  It's also helped me get my mojo going again.  I've also managed to make a scrapbook page or two also....All this staying in leaves me with a lot of time on my hands! LOL!

Thanks so much for stopping by and as always, I LOVE it when you leave me comments!

Hugs!

More Birthday Cards....Caution...Photo Overload!!

My daughter in law recently asked me to make some birthday cards for her to give to employees on their birthday.  Sometimes, I get quite a stack of cards, but it just so happens that I was almost completely out of any type of cards.  My card making recently has just been to keep up with birthdays in my family.  Anyway, I digress....I've made the following cards for her to share with the people she works with....

This first set of 11 cards are for my daughter in law.  If you want to see them bigger, you'll just need to click on them individually.

Elephant stamp is from Maymay Stamps.  The black and white card was made using a die I got from Amazon.  Not sure who makes it.

Stacked laundry images from a Maymay Stamp set.  Floral card has punched edge and a SU stamp used for the flowers and branches.

This first card is a bird from the Tim Holtz crazy birds stamp set and sentiments.  Second card is simple a SSS flower die stacked 4 times and adhered on top of patterned paper.

Another SSS flower die inset into a piece of kraft card stock.  Sentiment from PTI.  Second card is just the reverse of the previous.

Embossed background. Sentiment from Hero Arts birthday set from several different companies. Second card is also embossed background and stamp is from the same HA set.

The sentiment on this card is from the same HA set and is cut out and popped up on a pink card base that has been stamped with a background stamp.

The horse card is for one of my granddaughters 15th birthday.  Her favorite thing in the world is horses, so I thought this might make her smile.  The second card with the money roll is for my grandson who is turning 16.  The plastic bubble for the $$ is from MFT.  It actually about the size of a tube of lip balm.  I used a 3D embossing folder for the background and created a tear strip on the inside layer so he could remove the money without tearing up the card. LOL!

These last four are cards I've made in preparation for upcoming family birthdays.  Used lots of dies, some nuvo drops, shiny paper and glitter paper.

Thanks for hanging in until the end! LOL!!  I've really been on a cardmaking spree this week! Thanks so much for stopping by and as always....I love it when you leave me a comment!

Hugs!!

Another Birthday.....

Next week is my baby boy's birthday...of course, he isn't really a baby, because he'll be 41 years old!  To ME, he'll always be my baby! 😉

Since I know he doesn't read my blog, I feel free to share his card with you.

I believe this type of card is called a lever card.  Not too difficult to make.  I watched a couple of videos at youtube and got it done.  I used some blue card stock to make the card base.  I cut out a circle in the front of the card with a SSS stitched circle die.  I saved that circle to use to put back in the center of the hole. The leaves were stamped and cut with another Altenew's Leaf Canopy stamp and die set.  I cut another smaller circle out of white card stock and layered it over the blue circle cut from the front of the card.

I used the same Altenew stamp set to stamp the inside of the card (on the white folded piece and the sentiment "Happy Birthday" is from SSS Beautiful Flowers stamp set and the "I love you" is from Sugar Pea Designs Everyday Sentiments.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  So glad you took the time to visit me. Please know your comments are always welcomed and appreciated!

Surprise!

I'm back!  And it's only been about a month since my last post! 😄  I wanted to share a card that I've just finished for my daughter's 45th birthday...WOW!  is she really 45!  Time sure does fly, doesn't it!

I decided to make a tunnel card for her this year.

I embossed a panel with a "happy birthday" embossing folder that I've had forever.  The small flowers are punched with an old punch and the centers of the flowers are Nuvo drops.  The leaf is a die cut from Sizzix.  The two circles were cut with a SSS die.

Here's the inside of the card.  I used the double edged stitching dies from SSS.  Flowers are punched with an old EK Success punch and the I added a few doodles on each of the blooms.  Red birds are also a die, can't remember who makes them.  I inked the background with distress oxide ink and stamped the sentiments from SSS Everyday Messages.   The branches were also cut with a die - probably another SSS die. Not a quick and easy card, but I like how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by and please know that I truly appreciate each and every comment!

Hugs to all!

I'm still alive and well....

It's been quite a while since I've posted...life just gets too busy sometimes.  I spent the last part of last year making gifts for all my children.  In November, I fell from a 12 foot ladder while adding ornaments to the top of a 20 foot tree at church.  I fell about 10 feet...bouncing off the choir risers on my way down...WHEW!  Believe it or not, I didn't even break a bone!  However, it's been a couple of months now and I just now moving with ease! LOL!  I've also been on a "getting healthier" kick and spend a good bit of my time at the gym and walking.  I've lost about 50 lbs now and would like to lose about 20 more...so I've got my work cut out for me in the next few months.

I recently got a yearly report from Fitbit...and according to their tracking, I walked 3,139,520 steps in 2019 for a total of 1,342 miles!!! Go ME!!

Anyway...with all that said, I have managed to get a few cards made in the last week or so, so I thought I'd share them with you.

This card was made using new to me stamps from Maymay Made It.com.  She does lots of videos also.  I used my score buddy to make scores every 1/4 inch on a white card piece cut slightly narrower than the card base.  The laundry basket was stamped multiple times and then I just cut the laundry off and stacked it up on one of the baskets.  Very quick and simple.

This next card was made with another stamp set from Maymaymadeit.com called Flowers for Friends.  I cut it slightly smaller than the card base, then added some striped papers to the right and bottom edge of the card base and popped the panel on top.  I also added a few Nuvo drops for dimension.  Image was colored with Copic markers.

This card was made using the flower stamp from Penny Black and the sentiment from Maymaymadeit.com Flowers for a friend.  I colored the image with Copics, cut the right edge off and fussy cutting the flower edge, then popped it over a black striped border.  Sentiment was stamped in versamark and embossed in white on black card stock.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Comments are always welcomed and appreciated!  Have a great weekend!

Hugs!
